Blink-182 Show in Dallas, Texas 9-23-09

On September 23, 2009 Blink-182 will be in Dallas, Texas at the Superpages Center playing along with Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects and Asher Roth. Of course this show will not be happening for a few more months, but I just can't wait, so I thought I would show everyone where I'll be at on September 23, 2009...

Me and my husband will be sitting in Section 205, Row LL and in seats 29 and 28. I know, I know, they aren't the best seats, but at the time I bought them, it was the best I could do. Not a great view, but at least I don't have a 'lawn seat'!

I thought I would make a picture of what it could look like :)

Updated Past Magazine Covers

On a older post i had a bunch of old magazine covers that Blink-182 had been on. Well no there are even more! There are a total of almost 40 different magazine covers that the boys from blink have been on, and hopefully more to come. It's just an interesting thing to see, (to me anyways) all the covers they have done. Well if you know of one I missed, leave me a comment and tell me!
Here's the link to the older post.

Mark's New Toys

Mark has received his brand new toys for the 2009 summer tour; 2 brand spanking new custom Fender Basses. Along with the octopus bass, "Like a Boss", Mark has also gave the new basses names, the black one: "I'm on a Boat", and the other is named: "D**k in a Box". Quite lovely names, don't you think? If you don't already know, these names are from "The Lonely Island", a group of 3 friends singing funny songs, and making their own funny digital shorts. Mark seems to really like their song "I'm on a Boat", earlier this year he would twitter "im on a boat!" several times, so I guess the name fits it.....I guess?

Along to go with the new basses, Mark also has new bass picks, of course, with the octopus on the back, and the front blink-182.

And what else do you need Mark? Oh yea, of course, ear-pieces with the octopus on them.

Alternative Press Blink-182 Interview

Alternative Press, or AP, has released #252 issue for July 2009. On The cover is Blink-182. "We wanna take the biggest shot that we possibly can." They talk about how they got back together, things they've been doing and of course the new summer tour, as well as a new song in the can! For any Blink fans, hardcore or newbies, this is a very interesting article. I found the article online last night, but I still went and bought one today, why wouldn't I? Anyways you can see and read for yourself.

(The 1st one with Mark wearing makeup, is not part of the cover story, its a separate piece on "The Band Who Changed My Life". Mark's was The Cure, and Alex Gaskarth, from All Time Low said his was Blink-182. He dressed like The chick on the Enema of the State CD cover, very funny picture. But the rest of the pictures are Blink-182's first cover and cover story of 2009! Enjoy! :)

And unless you can read this very small text from the magazine, click to make it bigger.

It's a very good read! :)

Blink-182 Tour Party

To start the tour off right, Blink-182 had a party to celebrate and get to know each other better (with all the bands on tour with blink). The party was held at El Compadre Mexican Restaurant on Sunset in Hollywood, CA. Blink headed to their party after they played on the Jay Leno Show. Some of their fellow tour-mates from Weezer, Taking Back Sunday, Panic! at the Disco, and Chester French were there along with the boys and many other friends. OH! I forgot, a mariachi band was there too! Mariachi Voz de America covered songs from Blink, including "The Rock Show", "Dammit", "What's My Age Again?", "I Miss You" "All the Small Things", and "Josie" (All the Small Things and Josie are both played on the same video). Mark, Tom, and Travis seemed to really enjoy it, as well as I did too! (The videos on Youtube anyway).

*Taking Back Sunday* *Weezer*
*Chester French* *Panic! At the Disco*

“We’re actually here with all the bands and friends going out on tour — it’s always awkward when you first start touring, and it’s the first day and there’s a bunch of people walking around and you don’t know who you’re supposed to talk to or not, and some people are standoffish,” Blink bassist/singer Mark Hoppus told MTV News. “So we thought, ‘Why don’t we throw a big party before the tour, [so] everybody can come and hang out?’ You know, get some beans, eat some Mexican food, bond. The guys in Chester French gave me some flowers. We bonded. It’s going to be a good tour.”

AP has a video from the party: Blink and They're Back!
Mtv has an article and a video from the party as well.

Blink-182 on AP Magazine Cover

AP Magazine posted the new cover with Blink-182 on the new July issue. You can pre-order it now or you can wait till next month, either way, don't forget to get it!
These legendary SoCal pop-punk miscreants influenced generations to pick up guitars and drums to make soundtracks to their own poop jokes. Just don’t call it a “reunion.”

Blink-182 on KROQ

Blink-182 was on the famous KROQ radio station Monday morning May 18, 2009. They had an interview with them as well as some questions from some fans. They discussed things like possible tour names, the Grammys, the past, new songs, and Tom's dog running off. Very interesting stuff, if you like stuff like that. :) You can listen to it here, or watch the videos (3 parts) 1 2 & 3.

These are some more pictures from AP Magazine that Jered Scott sent to Mark. These are the ones that AP Magazine did not use. You can see more here: AP.
